Qualifications should include GM dealership experience. reception, phone greeting, schedule appointments, writing repair orders, technician dispatch, customer repair quotes, and warranty. Communication and trustworthy sales presentation skills are required. Wages - salary + commission, all benefits available + profit sharing, pension.

Service reception
Meeting and greeting of incoming service customers. Must have general knowledge of customer assistance in many aspects. Common knowledge of automotive mechanical language a plus. Must be outgoing and able to work efficiently within a computer environment. Salary based on hourly plus commission in service and parts sales. GM “paid” training included.
GM Technician Certified Class A or B
Must have ASE and GM training completed and up to date powertrain and transmissions Gas/ Diesel experience. Pay scale: $20.00-$30.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
Flat rate scale:
Guarantee 40 hours/ based on 40 clock hours (time her
40-44.9 hours- .35c per hour/ retro back to total
45-unlimited-.50c per hour/ retro back to total
Example: 44 hours flat rate hour earned ….. 4x.35=$1.40 = $61.60
Example: 45 hours flat rate hour earned…… 5x.50=$2.00 = $90.00
Example: 60 hours flat rate hour earned…….20x.50=$10.00 = $600
Average Pay Guarantee:
Use last 8 weeks FRH’s divided by 8 = average FRH’s
Use when FRH’s falls under past 8 week average
Example: FRH average 8 weeks 46 hours- current week FRH’s = 42
use 46 FRH’s for pay scale plus bonus. Must maintain 40 FRH’s per week
Overtime bonus In addition to all above:
Work time exceeds 40 clock hours (time at work) not FRH’s
1 ½ pay rate x’s clock hours added to bonus
Example: Pay rate $20.00 per hour, clock time 45 hours = 5x’s $10.00 = $50.00
additional bonus.
Vacation pay rate:
Average FRH’s per week (no bonus)
Example: 1 week vacation = average FRH’s per week or divide by 5 for daily rate.
Customer pay rate labor figured on Mitchell/Shop key/ snap on Flat rate time
Menu time extra bonus hours
GM labor time guide rates for warranty.
In house warranty clerk
Best in class parts dept/ with over 80 years combined counter person experience.
